Alto Moncayo Campo de Borja Garnacha 2007
Alto Moncayo
Dark purple core with a fuchsia rim. Very dense aromas of plum, graphite, blackberry, white pepper and lighter floral hints. Very full bodied on the palate with well balanced acid and big ripe tannins. Sweet and full with great stone and nickel minerality. Sweet blackberry and vanilla with long lingering roasted cocoa beans in the finish.
Wine Advocate
The same can be said for the 2007 Alto Moncayo, also 100% Garnacha. It offers up a similar aromatic and flavor profile, just at a slightly higher octane level. This opulent effort is all about pleasure; give it 3-4 years of additional cellaring if you’d like it a bit more civilized.

Wine Enthusiast
Excellent Garnacha in very modern dressing. The nose is sweet, candied, lightly baked and rich, with hints of prune, coconut and fine aged cheese. The palate is smooth and deep, with blackberry, molasses and licorice flavors. Sturdy and studly wine, with weight and only a pinch of heat and bite. Six hundred cases produced; drink now–2012.

Wine Spectator
Rich yet supple, this expressive red wraps chocolate and cola notes around a core of ripe cherry and berry fruit. There's a firm but lively structure and a warm, spicy finish. Drink now through 2014.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Parker, Jr. Initially titled The Baltimore-Washington Wine Advocate the first issue was published in 1978. Accepting no advertising, the newsletter publishes in excess of 7,500 reviews per year, utilizing Parker's rating system that employs a 50-100 point quality scale.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
