My flagship wine, which is always a blend of my very best barrels of Petite Sirah. A blend of 5 vineyards all grown on calcareous/limestone soils, the aromatics show smoked meat, black pepper, lavender, dark chocolate, blueberry, and melted blackberry fruits. The palate steers more towards fresh fruit rather than the dried fruit side, with wild blackberry, bramble, and blueberry. Peppered beef, espresso, toasty oak, and spice hit on the mid palate before the finish sing on with sweet but gravelly tannins. A dose of Syrah adds mid palate and spice.
