Brooks Note 2022 Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir
Winery Notes:
Our 2022 Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir is a captivating wine that reflects the unique character of the Yorkville Highlands in Mendocino County. Sourced from two distinct blocks at elevations of 900 and 1000 feet, this wine benefits from the dramatic 40-50 degree temperature shift between day and night, shaped by both the altitude and coastal air from Anderson Valley. The blend of Rochioli, 2A, and Romani Conti clones delivers a vibrant expression of red fruit, with a distinctive herbal character that sets it apart from our other Pinot Noirs. Its spicy aromatics and hints of licorice on the finish complement the silky tannins, creating a wine with impressive length and a smooth, lingering finish. Aged in 25% new French oak for 9 months, this 200-case wine (13.9% ABV) is a perfect pairing for dishes like Thai or Indian cuisine, as well as North African spiced beef or herb-crusted lamb.
