Mallea 2021 Red Blend

Winery Notes:

The vineyards are largely clustered around Los Olivos. All are farmed/managed by Erik Mallea. Rolling Vines (located on Refugio Road, equidistant from Santa Ynez and Solvang): planted to own-rooted Grenache (from Spear and Vie Caprice), Syrah (from Spear) and Counoise (Tablas Creek budwood on echalas stakes) planted in 2018. Blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre; native fermentations in oak vats. Only pump-overs. Raised in used barrique for 14 months; racked to tank for natural clarification over 6-8 weeks. Unfined, unfiltered.

Composition: 44% Grenache, 42% Syrah, 14% Mourvedre
