Paul Lato 2020 Matinée GSM

This beautiful blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre came from three premiere vineyards in Santa Barbara County. Grenache and Syrah came from Larner and Bien Nacido Vineyards, and the Mourvedre is from Santa Ynez Vineyard. Aged for 19 months in once-used 500 Liter Puncheon barrels, these three varietals seamlessly complement one another. Larner Grenache provides the ripe berry nose and fruit on the palate. Bien Nacido Syrah balances with spice and floral nuances, and it's all capped off with just a touch of Mourvedre to contribute its dark color, earthy flavors, and complex finish. Despite being a dark and powerful wine, the fine and subtle tannins make it a great pairing option for a variety of comfort foods.
