Dark crimson in the glass with a cardinal rim, the 2022 Painted Scars opens with aromas of ripe damson, black and blue fruits, cardamom, lamb tagine, and slate. On the palate, the entry is broad with blackberry, espresso, baking chocolate, and a commanding presence throughout. Tranches of minerality and acid keep the palate fresh with a close of puckering tannins.
Composition: Grenache and Syrah.
