Winery Notes:
Upon pouring, the wine exhibits a dark ruby color with a rim that leans slightly purple. The aromatics are delightful, with top notes of cassis, blackberry and violets, followed by hints of pencil shavings, black licorice and forest floor. The wine is medium weight, refined and elegant, tasting of cassis and blue fruits with a bright note of raspberry on the mid-palate. The nicely integrated tannins and balanced acidity show lively energy in its youth, and the long finish again displays the bright cassis revealed throughout.
