Sanguis 2022 Optimist

Winery Notes:

There are a few wines that have always inspired me, and which I love: Giuseppe Quintarelli’s Primafiore, and Castello di Verduno’s Pelaverga. These are fragrant, floral wines with spice notes, and a youthful elegance akin to that of a young person’s athletic body. They are intended for frequent and early-ish indulgence, whose bigger, more “consequential” wines need time. Optimist is our version of that. Cellar temp in the warmer months, and room temp on a chilly night are the only adjustments this Grenache-centric composition needs for year-round pleasure. Any glass with a stem will work.
